Making happiness a habit!!!

Making happiness a habit can be one of the best things you can do. lifestyle experts and healers have reiterated time and again that it works in a cyclic pattern. that is if you are happy, you attract more happiness.

Looking out for positive moments in your daily life and then dwelling upon them, always works. Here are a few points that you can keep in mind

        1. Smile at and love yourself.

"I do this exercise every morning". motivational author and healer Louise Hay recommends looking at the mirror with a smile and saying "I Love You (your name)". She states that for most peoples this is a very difficult thing to do because they can never love themselves nor they can forgive themselves. When we do this exercise everyday we begin to fulfil our immense need to be loved and accepted. Also simply smiling can be liberating. when we are happy we smile because our brain deduces that smiling is a reaction to the action of happiness. So you could go the other way round smile first and then you will begin feel happy. try this random exercise, smite at your friends, family members, colleagues, class mates. It has been found that 90% of the time people genuinely feel elated and happy when exchanging smile with strangers.

        2. Make a list of all your achievements.

Each of us are endowed with qualities that bring about our success. never tell that yourself that you are not good at something. Everyone has a certain unique quality and you need to discover yours. Focus on your talents, suggests lifestyle coaches. Its okay to feel pride about what you are good at and to give yourself credit for your successes. Set some achievable goals and then work toward it with dedication. once your realistic goals are achieved you will feel lasting happiness.

        3. Let the mindfulness work for you.

Rageshwari Loomba, who has been holding workshop on mindfulness in Bhaarat and abroad, emphasise its benefits. "Mindfulness is another word for spiritualism for me.That what is within us, will reflect outside. How we see ourselves, will mirror what the world see us as. What we visualise, will materialize", she states. If we are mindful all the time, happiness will invariably be a state of mind.

        4. Feel the adrenalin rush.

Exercising is not just for a 'healthier you', but all the sweating out actually results in a 'happier you'. When you are exercising, a lot of good hormones are released. that combat your stress levels and this gives you a that happy buoyant feeling. Researchers have found that everyday even half an hour of exercising or playing a physically invigorating game can change you up both mentally and otherwise.

        5. Sit up straight, correct your posture.

A simple exercise can help you understand how much posture can affect your mood. When you sit down with your head bent down, when you slouch and let your shoulders droop for a long you will began to feel sad and negative. However, when you sit upright, begin to breath deep and stop slouching, pull back your shoulders, your entire persona changes. Changing your posture can affect the way you feel, the way you look at life. take deep breaths through the day, mind your postures and you will positive and happy.
